Attached you will find the results from the NYSHSFCA Section 2 Combine held on Saturday, May 5 at Stillwater High School.    The top 25 will be invited to the Elite Combine in Syracuse on June 10th.  You will be receiving an invitation by May 20th.   There will also be another 100 players picked from the rest of the list of 6 combines held across the state.   The top 10 results in each category are also listed.   The final score for each player is created by a list of points for each event corresponding to the certain position the player plays.

2012 - Lineman Challenge  - June 2 - RPI Athletic Facility

The annual Lineman Challenge will be held on Saturday, June 2 at the RPI Athletic Facility in Troy, NY.   The event will begin at 6:00 pm.   This challenge has become an annual event that boasts the best offensive and defensive lineman in the area and state.   The event particulars are in the attached application form and if you have any questions please contact Steve Hladio at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   2012 Lineman Challenge Brochure

There will be a football combine for any incoming freshman through senior player on Saturday, May 5 at Stillwater High School starting at 9:30 am.   The application for the event is attached below.   The combine is a part of the NYSHSFCA Elite Combine series that has been run for the past three years.   The top 250 players from the 6 different combine locations around the state will be invited to attend the Elite Combine in June located in Syracuse, NY.   The players will be tested in the bench press (185 pounds), 40 yd dash, 3 cone drill, short shuttle, height and weight, vertical and standing long jump.   If anyone has any questions please contact Nick Fitzgerald at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. 2012 Induction Class Named for the Capital Region Football Hall of Fame

The 2012 Induction Class for the Capital Region Football Hall of Fame has been released.   There will be 21 inductees including 14 players, 3 coaches, 3 officials and 1 service to football award this year.   The players are Ralph Barone (Mohonasen), Ron DeBenedetti (Guilderland), Justin DeMagistris (Gloversville), Richard Foglia (Watervliet), Sakima Grimes (Cambridge), David Jakob (Shenendehowa), Ted Jornov (Hudson), Adam Lord (Troy), Alex Mancini (Fonda-Fultonville), Jim Manning (Watervliet), Jerry Mirro (Saint Peters), Ron Page (Mont Pleasant), John Reagan (Bethlehem) and Rudy Vido (Albany).   The coaches inducted will be John Taglione from Mechanicville, Larry Mulvaney from Mont Pleasant and Cliff Lehman from CBA.   The officials are Tom Brennan and Jack Cramer representing the Capital District and Morris Nassivera from the Northern Chapter.   Finally, Union Head Coach and lifelong Section 2 resident, coach and player John Audino will receive the Service to Football Award.   The ceremony will take place on Saturday, August 4 at Michael’s Banquet  House in Latham, NY starting at 6:00 pm.  Tickets will be $40 and will include drinks and food for the evening.   Attached is the information regarding the event.  If you have any questions please contact Nick Fitzgerald at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.   Hall of Fame Announcement

There will be a one day offensive lineman camp on March 25, 2012 from 8:30 am to 1:00 pm at the new RPI Football Facility in Troy, NY.   Steve Hladio who brings you the “Lineman Challenge” will be the camp coordinator and one of the coaches.   Please see the attached brochure for additional information.
