Former Rensselaer Ram Plue Named to Outland Trophy Watch List
Tuesday, 22 June 2010
WEST LAFAYETTE, Ind. - Purdue junior offensive guard Ken Plue has been named to a preseason watch list, the Football Writers of America Association (FWAA) announced.

Plue, a native of Rensselaer, is one of 63 players nationally to be recognized as a player to watch for the 2010 Outland Trophy.

Plue anchored a line that helped Purdue finish third in the Big Ten Conference in passing offense in 2009. With 18 career starts, he will head into fall camp in August as Purdue's most experienced lineman on the offensive side of the ball.
Junior guard Ken Plue is one of 63 players nationally on the initial watch list for the Outland Trophy. The Outland Trophy, presented annually since 1946, is the third oldest award in major college football. The Outland Trophy is named after the late John Outland, an All-America lineman at Penn and Kansas at the turn of the century. The 2010 winner will be announced on The Home Depot ESPNU College Football Awards Show on Dec. 9.
